Bill Johnson joined Avail Infrastructure Solutions as President and CEO in October 2022 and is a member of the Board.
Bill has served as the CEO of several public, private, and sponsor-backed companies in the industrial and manufacturing space. Most recently, as the CEO of Welbilt (WBT), he helped grow revenues to over $1.7B and EBITDA margins of ~20%, leading to a $4.8B sale to Ali Group in July 2022. Bill previously served as CEO of Chart Industries (GTLS), Dover Refrigeration and Food Equipment, Hillphoenix, Triton Systems, and Graham Corp (GHM). Bill also understands Avail’s end markets, having held leadership positions at ABB and ESAB. He spent ten years at ABB running their switchgear operations in North America and five years as president of ESAB Welding and cutting. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic engineering from Alfred University and a Master of Business Administration from Rollins College. He started his professional career as a Nuclear engineer in the US Navy aboard the submarine USS Stonewall Jackson.
Marty Agard joined Avail Infrastructure Solutions as CFO, effective October 2022. He oversees all financial operations as well as TSA operations and separation.
Marty is a multi-tour CFO for both public and private companies, having served in that capacity for Kohler Co., Lumber Liquidators, and most recently, Welbilt, Inc. At Welbilt, he was instrumental in the transformation of the company in 2019, guiding it through the pandemic compression/expansion cycle and the successful sale of the company to Ali Group in July 2022. Marty has led finance teams as part of global organizations in the industrial and manufacturing market for nearly two decades. Earlier in his career, Marty was a VP & Treasurer at Georgia-Pacific. Marty holds a Bachelor of Science from William & Mary and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
Jen Gudenkauf is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Avail Infrastructure Solutions. Jen joined the executive leadership team in October 2022 and oversees the HR Function, with a focus on developing strategies to maximize the effectiveness of our people and HR team.
Jen has developed an extensive career in human resources, designing and implementing talent strategies for recruiting, training, leadership development, compensation, benefits, and HR technology solutions across multiple industries. Most recently, as the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Welbilt, Inc, Jen was a critical part of the executive leadership team, spearheading the global strategy and transformation of the HR function. Prior to joining Welbilt, she served as Vice President, Human Resources - North America for Sykes Enterprises. Before that, she held a variety of HR leadership roles at Bloomin’ Brands and Gentiva Health Services.
Chris Boehm joined Avail Infrastructure Solutions as Chief Commercial Officer, effective November 2022. Chris leads the overall advancement of the commercial strategy for the business.
Chris has over 25 years of experience in the electrical products manufacturing and service industries, serving domestic and international customers in many different market segments, including utility, industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, data center, paper, government, commercial, medical, and residential.
Most recently, Chris functioned as Chief Operating Officer at Myers Power Products, where he led all aspects of the company to drive profitable growth through improved operational efficiency and continued enhancement of the sales channel. Prior to this role, he served in various leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and General Management for S&C Electric, Powell Industries, Schneider Electric, Emerson Electric, and Eaton Corporation. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University and a Master of Business Administration from Regis University.
Dinesh Chopra joined Avail Infrastructure Solutions as Chief Performance Officer, effective March 2023, responsible for driving the strategic growth initiatives for Avail.
Dinesh is a seasoned industry executive with 25 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, and operational roles. He has strong expertise in semiconductor manufacturing and consumer banking, particularly in product development, growth & optimization, innovation, and digitization. Before joining AIS, Chopra served as the Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer of Ally Financial. In this role, his responsibilities included developing enterprise and LOB strategies, optimizing the performance of different lines of businesses, identifying, and executing mergers, acquisitions & strategic partnerships, and running the corporate venture fund.
Philip Stephenson joined Avail Infrastructure Solutions as Vice President, Chief Transformation Officer in November 2022, responsible for the strategy and executive of transformative operational and supply chain initiatives.
Most recently, Philip served as Vice President of Global Sourcing and Logistics for Welbilt, where he led the strategic sourcing function and had oversight of business transformation activities. Prior to Welbilt, Philip served three decades in various leadership roles in Operations, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain at Dover and Hillphoenix.
Greg Davall joined Avail (formerly AZZ) in April 2018 as General Manager of Medium Voltage Bus and has since been promoted to Vice President and General Manager, Bus Systems. He is responsible for operations in Massachusetts, Mississippi, and Joint Ventures in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Rugao, China.
Greg has owned his own successful manufacturing business and has been a key contributor to over a dozen manufacturing start-ups and turnarounds. He has been successful in public, private, union, non-union, acquisition, and divestiture situations in roles including General Manager, Vice President, and President and served on the Board of Directors of Beresford Packaging (NASDAQ: BPIE).
Greg is a LEAN Six Sigma Blackbelt, Young Engineer of the Year for the State of Tennessee, inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business and has a BSME, and has completed all coursework for an MSME from Bucknell University.
Jeremy Hoffman joined AZZ, now Avail Infrastructure Solutions, in May 2019 as Vice President and General Manager of Avail Enclosure Systems. Most recently, he held a variety of leadership positions with Gardner Denver and ABB after serving twelve years in the United States Air Force as a Non-Commissioned Officer.
Jeremy has extensive multi-site experience leading operations with an emphasis on engineered-to-order product. Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and a Master of Science from the University of Arkansas.
Nathan Lepper is the Vice President and General Manager for Avail Switchgear Systems.
Prior to Avail, he spent the last 18 years working for AZZ Switchgear Systems as the Operations Manager and was named General Manager of the Fulton, Missouri facility in 2017. Shortly after the acquisition of Powergrid Solutions in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, he was named Vice President of AZZ Switchgear Systems and assumed responsibility for both plants. He has extensive manufacturing experience with product redesigns, new product development, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives focused on business growth.
Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Missouri. He also serves on several manufacturing and educational boards, including the State Technical College of Missouri welding advisory board and the William Woods University MBA advisory board.
Bill Ruta is the Vice President and General Manager of WSI Global and joined Avail Infrastructure Solutions in 2013. He oversees Global Operations for WSI, including the North American, South American, and EMEAA business units.
Bill leads Global teams of industry experts in providing a technological specialty repair solution to clients in Heavy Industries. He has a long track record in fostering customer loyalty for the WSI organization, including previously being the Managing Director of Canada and the Vice President of North America. Bill’s career spans public and private organizations serving similar Industrial markets, including previous positions with Canadian-based Wajax Industries and Ceda International.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration.
